Yes you can buy a SIM card here (with Digicel). But if you're here for any length of time it might be better to get some kind of DSL service.

Hi Steve, I read your blog re MD300 with interest. I am coming to Dominica and want to bring my laptop. I would love to have internet service. I can purchase the USB in the UK, but would like to know if I can purchase a sim card when I get to Dominica that would enable me to roam the internet. If you can answer this or maybe advise on something I can buy when I get there to use for my time in Dominica, that would be great. Thanks

I'm living in hills above Calabishie, desperate for an internet connection on my laptop, and Digicel Roseau told me nothing for foreseable future.

If you get a good enough signal with your Digicel phone, the Broadband modem should allow you to surf. Contact Elliot Prince at the head office in Roseau.

Don't know where you got your info from, but I've just phoned Digicel - they have no plans to intoduce 3G for internet in Dominica in the near future - certainly not until next year.

Well maybe their EDGE is 2.75G but it's here and it's working well.
